31 days with Proverbs #12 – Future

Happy Friday,

2017-11-24-08-00-25Future is Day 12. While I was reading chapter 12 , I had no idea what I was reading. Though I prayed before reading, it felt like no word and no verse sink in to me. I couldn’t understand anything. At all.

But then, I was struck with this thought: what if I couldn’t finish this 31-Day Course?

Because I seem like getting lazy. And I should finish this 31 Days. Not again would I abandon a devotion that I do not only for God but for myself as well, and so I reread the chapter.

And this verse caught me:

21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

Proverbs 12:21

There SHALL… It’s an assurance of future that we will have depends on what we do today. I look back at the days when I was still studying. Back then all I have in mind is to graduate and just get over with this awful, exhausting world called  School. I never thought about getting a job, or climbing the ladder of the society.

All I dreamt about is to stay in my room and write.

So I thought studying too much wasn’t needed. Besides writing novels don’t need a degree, right? I mean, anyone can write a novel even the ones without those fancy degrees. I was right but I forgot considering about the bills. Writing doesn’t pay bills, at least not at first.

We create our future everyday, we might as well make it a good one. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Don’t underestimate everything. Do good, choose the right choices with the help of the Holy SPirit. Surely, there SHALL be a great future for you.

Thank you for reading. God Bless you.

____Lili Marcus. 🙂

I just had my devotion and it seems like we’re reflecting on the same thing but in different book. Mine was in Psalm 37:1-11

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
    Psalm 37:7 NIV

I usually write my devotion in my bullet journal but you gave me an idea for writing them down on a blog. It’s a good way to share them to other people. 🙂

    1. Hi Marinella. 🙂 Sorry for very late reply… I havne’t checked this site for the last month… I lost my laptop and I find it hard to blog on my other mobile devices… I also write on my journal but writing them on my blog, not only serves as my devotion but as well as ministry of sharing the word. 🙂 🙂

God Bless you and hapy new year… 🙂 🙂
